I don't have it set up with IM d: The last couple of times I've tried following the instructions it hasn't done the business.
Of course, now that I've said that, if I try again it will probably all just work.
(I do also have a vague recollection of wanting to strangle either this or twitter, and needing to jump through insidious hoops to get it to stop IM'ing me; so I may have architected my own doom. But I'm pretty sure it was twitter.)
Meh... if our instructions aren't adequate for the likes of you to follow, then 'normal' (:D) people won't have he faintest chance at all - which means our documentation needs work. And I'm interested in that, since... well, I wrote it...

Well, I click the link for adium purposes; add my username and password, and try sending off the message.
Then nothing happens (: (hahaha users are usually such liars when they say that)
At least, it doesn't throw an error up; and I don't get any sort of indication that anything useful happened, either.
If I try re-requesting authorisation (through the context menu in Adium); this error shows up:
